National Guideline Clearning House - No More!
Due to Federal budget cuts the Agency for Health, Research and Quality (AHRQ), who manages the National Guideline Clearing House will no longer provide an active website after July 16, 2018.
AHRQ has been in the business of providing evidence-based guidelines for over 30 years and offers standard-of-care for practicing healthcare professionals to ensure competent, safe evidence driven practice.
There is some speculation that the National Institutes of Health (NIH), may take the role of housing and proposing guidelines in the U.S. AHRQ announced there is no current plan for the National Guideline Clearing House and its sister resource, the National Quality Measures Clearinghouse both to be non-existent after July 16th.
The Guidelines International Network (G-I-N) has the world’s largest international guideline library. This is a network of individual and organizations interested in guidelines. G-I-N requires an annual paid membership and offers leadership in the field of guideline development and implementation.
The Multiple Chronic Conditions Resource Center will continue to populate and provide FREE access to all current and relevant guidelines to ensure best practices that promote safe, effective patient-centered outcomes for those living with symptomatic chronic conditions.
